On August 18, 1969, Jimi Hendrix took to the stage as the final performer at Woodstock.  Rain delays pushed his performance from Sunday night to 8:30 am Monday morning.  Three quarters into his 2 hour set, Hendrix began to play his psychedelic spin of the Star Spangled Banner which then shifted into Purple Haze.  This has become one of the defining moments of the 1960s.  As festival season quickly approaches, LHLL is looking back on defining moments in music history to inspire our sartorial decisions.  Our Purple Haze tie dye crews are named for the song that...

the very first piece that I created for LHLL, and every piece since, has been done out of pure self interest.  I make things for myself and am then humbled when other people want them. I have learned to trust my gut and lean on my personal taste in things.  I had a favorite sweatshirt, it was vintage and oversized, incredibly soft and worn, and I loved it.  the problem was I only had one, so logic would suggest that I needed more.
